You can rent a pontoonboat to be your guide for the day. Pontoon boats are available to rent for those who want to own their boat. The Map includes directions to the most popular snorkeling areas, sandbars, common dolphin zones, and more.
We will bring you as close to dolphins and as safe as possible. The dolphins will decide how close or far they want to be able to interact with them. We practice passive observation, which simply means we let the dolphins approach us. Our dolphins in St. Andrews Bay can be extremely playful and interactive. Many of our guests have memorable encounters with them.
You can swim with Panama City's wild bottle-nose dolphins on your trip in super-fast boats that are specially built for visiting and finding them. Blue Dolphin Tours is smaller than larger boats, which can carry as many as 150 people. We only take 13 passengers on certain boats and 7-15 on others boats. Children of all ages are welcome to join us. You can be in the water quickly with your snorkel gear on without any splashing or disruptions, which can often scare the dolphins away. Your Captain will teach you how to interact with dolphins. For example, it is better to swim parallel to them than to reach out and touch them. Swim with Dolphins – We will put you in the water prior to the dolphins arrive. This will make it more likely that the dolphins swim to us rather than to us. You can see wildlife such as birds of prey and pelicans as well as underwater creatures, herons, and other bird species. Shells and sand dollars can be found in the Shell Island area. Explore St. Andrews Bay or the Gulf of Mexico by snorkeling grass flats.
If conditions permit, guests are permitted to go in the water if dolphins are nearby. Safety is our primary concern. Your captain will guide you on how to safely snorkel around marine mammals.
Our dolphin and island tours take you to Shell Island, where you can also observe dolphins. We can walk along the shore, look for shells, swim and snorkel in the protected waters.

On your trip with Blue Dolphin Tours, you will be able to swim with Panama City’s resident pods of wild bottlenosed dolphins. These boats are super fast and specifically designed for meeting with the dolphins. Blue Dolphin Tours does not carry more than 150 people. Instead, we can take six passengers on some boats and seven to fifteen on other boats. This includes children of all ages. Your snorkel gear and you can be in the water within minutes. We don't need to cause any disturbances or splashing, which can sometimes scare the dolphins. Your Captain is Your Guide - Your captain will help you learn how to interact well with dolphins. Swim with Dolphins. - You'll be able to swim in the ocean before the dolphins arrive. Dolphins are more likely not to swim away from us if we do this. See wildlife such as birds, pelicans, aquatic creatures and herons. Shells, sand dollars, and other treasures can be found on Shell Island. Snorkel the flats of grass and discover St. Andrews Bay.

We are an eco friendly tour that does not harm or disturb wildlife. We are an ecotour outfitter that cares about the dolphins. They will appreciate it.
Before the dolphins arrive you will be able to enter the water. Dolphins will become more curious about you and swim away from you. Dolphins can be picky and we have to "pretend" that they are not there. The more curious they become, the better.
Your captain will direct you on how to enter the water so that you can see the dolphins at close quarters. It is prohibited to approach or swim towards the dolphins. We interact with dolphins in the most ethical manner possible by swimming parallel to their bodies and inviting them to come towards us.
For maximum 12 persons, we can accommodate six people on each boat. We can accommodate up 13 people in a boat.
Our guides have spent years studying the natural behavior of dolphins. We are experts at finding them, and then safely instruct our guests how they can enter the water to observe them. Additionally, your captain will go snorkeling with you to show starfish, pufferfishes welch conchs and other types sea creatures.
Snorkeling is a fun and easy activity for people of all ages. One of the best things about Shell Island is that the calm shallow water behind the jetty is ideal for first-time snorkelers.
When is the Best Time to Visit Florida to See Dolphins? The best time to see dolphins is from late May to early August. You're most likely to see them between 10 a.m. and noon, and then again between 2 p.m. and dark.
